Job description

Boden Group are currently recruiting for a Premises Manager on a temp to perm basis, in Bristol.
37 hours per week, flexible working pattern between 7.00am - 8.00pm (although the PM role usually sits on a middle shift, which could be 9.00pm to 5.00pm/10.00am to 6.00pm).
Temp rates - up to £21 per hour, can pay CIS.
Once permanent, the salary is starting from around 37k pa.

Fire & Security
  1. Lock/unlock school buildings and areas
  2. Undertake regular security checks and identify security risks
  3. Monitor fire safety equipment and carry out fire drills
  4. Operate and respond to alarm systems where appropriate
  5. Manage CCTV equipment and policy compliance
  6. Liaise with fire & security contractors
  7. Provide emergency access to the school site
Facilities Management Services
  1. Undertake appropriate repairs e.g. redecorating and fixing
  2. Organise and carry out various maintenance duties to ensure that the general upkeep and maintenance of the premises is satisfactory, as per specific schedule for your school.
  3. Organise and carry out minor improvement work e.g. erecting shelves, notice boards, bookshelves etc. as instructed through the helpdesk
  4. Be responsible for the operation of a preventative planned maintenance programme and for routine inspections of the buildings, fixtures, fittings, furniture, premises and grounds to assess for minor work or repairs required to be carried out to maintain safe and satisfactory conditions.
  5. Operation and maintenance of heating plant and lighting systems
  6. Undertake regular site safety inspections
  7. Identify defects and record/repair
  8. Collect and assemble waste for collection
  9. Undertake specialist cleaning tasks such as graffiti removal, litter-picking
  10. Coordinate deliveries to the school site
  11. Monitor performance of Fire and security contracts and record performance against specified standards
Other
  1. Assist on matters relating to energy control and conservation
  2. Contribute to planning, development and organisation of environmental systems/procedures/policies
  3. Be responsible for maintaining carrying out helpdesk related tasks, records, information and data.
  4. Undertake safety audits on site contractors.
  5. Promote and ensure the health and safety of pupils, staff & visitors at all times
