Job Summary

Responsible for recruiting and maintaining a portfolio of premier clients by selling a high quality relationship-oriented financial planning service.

• Clients are recruited from the existing Bank customer base and externally with the aim of developing significant sales and high levels of client satisfaction through a mutually beneficial relationship.

• The client relationship is managed on a highly proactive and ongoing basis over an extended period. Whilst part of a team, the jobholder operates on a mobile basis, by meeting clients at times at locations convenient to the client.

Job Description

Sales and Services: Time split 70%

  • Proactively target and recruit clients.
  • Maintain Relationship Plans for all customers in the portfolio such that contact with customers is prioritized.
  • Satisfy clients’ ongoing financial planning needs through the sale of appropriate products and services.
  • Optimize portfolio potential in conjunction with Product Owners and MCR - planning/ undertaking effective marketing campaigns.
  • Establish and develop sales opportunities to meet the clients’ needs by introducing and working in conjunction with segment specialists.
  • Manage the client portfolio by making proactive contact on a regular basis and meeting clients at their convenience.
  • Generate and attend to leads and sales by building effective working relationships with branches within catchment areas, Corporate Sector etc.
  • Generate referred business by encouraging existing clients to make recommendations.
  • Deal with and find resolutions for customer complaints.

Accountability Business Management: Time split 20%

  • Research, create and follow up on a list for potential new businesses.
  • Review portfolio on a regular basis by recommending clients.
  • Adhere to legal and regulatory standards in accordance with the Absa Premier guidelines and Head Office instructions.

Risk and Control: Time split 10%

  • Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Absa Policies and Policy.

Preferred Education:

  • Higher Diplomas in Business, Commerce and Management Studies or similar field.

  • Detailed understanding of the retail network business processes and operating procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of operating instructions and audit requirements.
  • Good understanding of Absa bank (Seychelles) risk policy.
  • Awareness of Absa bank (Seychelles) retail strategy, operating structures and interfaces.
  • Knowledge of Absa bank (Seychelles) people policy and procedures.
  • Understanding of the local competitor market.
