Precision Grinder / Grinding Team Leader

Due to the expansion of our Grinding Department, we are seeking an experienced Precision Grinder / Team Leader to join our busy and expanding engineering team on a permanent basis.

Duties will include:

1. Leading the Grinding team with Setting and Operating Cylindrical and Surface Grinders, and other equipment within our busy Grinding department.

Candidate Requirements:

• CNC Grinding (Studer (Fanuc) / Jones & Shipman) programming & setting experience an advantage.
• Manual Cylindrical and Surface Grinding including internal and external grinding.
• A good understanding of engineering drawings.
• Experience of leading a small team an advantage.
• Ability and knowledge of grinding complex parts to tight tolerances.
• Able to use various types of measuring equipment.
• Ability to work with the minimum of supervision.
• Experience of small / medium size batch work an advantage.
• Previous experience of working in a similar sub-contract manufacturing environment.
• Good communication skills at all levels.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:00pm & Friday 7:30am to 1:00pm.

Salary: Up to £50k (negotiable & depending on experience) Overtime paid at time and a half.
