Qualifications

  • Experience in Openreach installations for underground and overhead work.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and installation practices.

Responsibilities

  • Install fibre to properties, ensuring safe handling and coiling of fibre.
  • Assist installation teams and manage customer expectations.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.

About our exciting opportunity

  • Responsible for installing fibre to the property before the install takes place
  • Knowledge of Openreach/County Broadband specs.
  • Underground work may involve slot trenching across a customer’s garden or using Openreach duct to the property, ensuring fibre is coiled in a safe location
  • Overhead work involves feeding our fibre from County Broadband pole/Openreach pole to customers' property, ensuring fibre is coiled in a safe location
  • Ability to pinpoint blockages or identify if other civils are required, ensuring the pole can be used and determining if tree cutting is needed for line of sight
  • Assist the install team to complete installations and support the wider team
  • Ensure all tooling/vans are in good working order
  • Use rod and rope or pulling in subduct/cable on every job
  • Ensure correct equipment/stores to complete tasks
  • Complete necessary online forms per company requirement
  • Manage customers’ expectations

Your skills and experience

  • Openreach Underground and Overhead experience
  • Sign lighting and guarding
  • Qualified to use a MEWP
  • Practical knowledge of installations
