The GME Pre Construction Team is seeking a highly motivated and engaged PMP Project Support to support our growing Pre-Construction Team within the wider Infrastructure Department.
You will be involved in all aspects of manufacturing site development, from new builds (major projects) to refurbishments and minor works. Your role will assist in ensuring governance is adhered to, reporting is completed accordingly, document control, and template control from Strategic Intent through the full project lifecycle to commissioning and handover.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Support governance implementation in the infrastructure projects portfolio.
Project Control: Prepare project reports to communicate the project situation to the wider business, including cost, time, risk, scope changes, issues, etc.
Support reviewing and keeping all process templates up to date, achieving efficiencies, reducing JLR interfaces, standardizing systems and processes, maintaining control of project delivery, and improving quality.
Train team members and support the application of best practices.
Audit internal teams to identify points of improvement.
WHAT YOU NEED
Relevant degree qualified or equivalent experience preferred (but not essential) in infrastructure fields such as Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Architecture, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Infrastructure, Building Services, or utilities.
Preferably a member of a recognized body (RICS, CIOB, ICES, APM).
Proficient knowledge of RIBA Plan of Work stages, inputs, outputs, and information exchange required at different stages.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Ensure templates are aligned with the latest industry standards, statutory requirements, and H&S regulations (CDM).
