We are looking for dedicated Practice Nurses to bring their knowledge and enthusiasm to join our team at Rosedean House Surgery.

Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate will have experience managing patients with a variety of long-term health conditions, demonstrate adaptability to change, and be confident working autonomously. They should be eager to work within non-traditional care systems and committed to continuous learning and skill development. A willingness to undertake role-relevant training and support the wider nursing team is essential. You will bring a passion for empowering patients to live healthier lives, using your expertise in health prevention, screening, and the early management of long-term conditions.

Job responsibilities

Practice Nurse Essential Responsibilities will involve:

  • Venepuncture
  • Blood pressure
  • ECG
  • Height/Weight/BMI
  • Health Promotion
  • Childhood and Adult Immunisations
  • Contraception
  • Cervical Screening
  • Long-term condition management such as Diabetes, COPD, Asthma
  • Some experience of long-term condition management and cervical screening is essential.

The successful candidate must:

  • Registered with the NMC
  • Degree in Nursing
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD
  • Minimum of 1 Long Term Condition diploma
  • Have knowledge of patients with long term conditions
  • Be familiar with Patient Group Directions (PGDs) and associated policy
  • Produce accurate, contemporaneous and complete records, consistent with legislation, policies and procedures.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Registered with the NMC
