Nightingale Valley practice are an active training practice covering 15,200 patients.
We are a very friendly and supportive team, co-located in a purpose-built Health Centre with a wide range of associated health services. Our team has a strong multi-disciplinary working ethos and enjoy supporting each other. Working closely with GP colleagues, the post-holder will deliver several Treatment Room clinics providing assessment; treatment; screening; health education services and advice to patients.
We are looking for the post-holder to work 25-37 hours per week.
You will ideally have knowledge and experience of dealing with chronic disease in addition to other Practice Nurse tasks. You will need to be NMC registered with a minimum of 1 year experience working in primary care. The ideal person will be empathetic, enthusiastic and highly motivated person that is confident working alone or as part of a team.
This role is also responsible for working towards our annual campaigns, including planning and coordination of clinics, and overseeing QOF to ensure we are meeting required targets for chronic diseases. In addition, you will be expected to take part in the extended hours rota for the practice.
We are pleased to be able to offer flexibility and autonomy within the skill set of the role. This exciting opportunity to join our friendly and dynamic team will include a balanced mix of routine general practice work including driving forward the services we offer to our patients. We have recently completed programmes to improve efficiencies within the practice to enable more time for patient care and team catch-ups. We have regular practice meetings and regular CPD sessions in-house.
