Practice Manager

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and people-focused individual to join our passionate team as a Practice Manager at De Montfort Vets.

Step Into a Leadership Role

As Practice Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the smooth day-to-day operations of the practice. You’ll work closely with our Clinical Lead, Head Receptionist, and Head Nurse, ensuring the practice delivers high-quality patient care and an exceptional client experience. Your responsibilities will include managing practice standards, handling HR and payroll, financial planning, coordinating building maintenance, and overseeing various projects. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with IVC Evidensia’s Area Support team, attending meetings with neighbouring practices to share best practices and promote ongoing learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring a positive and productive environment for both staff and clients.
2. Work closely with clinical and non-clinical teams to drive high levels of collaboration and performance, fostering a supportive atmosphere.
3. Manage recruitment, staff training, and development, along with overseeing payroll and HR procedures.
4. Monitor financial performance, prepare budgets, and ensure the practice operates efficiently within its financial framework.
5. Oversee projects to improve the practice’s infrastructure, efficiency, and service delivery.

About Us

De Montfort Vets is a thriving small animal practice located in the picturesque Worcestershire countryside. Our practice is committed to delivering outstanding patient care while ensuring a seamless and compassionate client experience. We have a dedicated team of 5 vets, 12 nurses, and 4 support staff who work together to provide the highest level of care for our patients.

Situated in the charming market town of Evesham, we are surrounded by beautiful landscapes, riverside walks, and classic Cotswold villages perfect for afternoon tea. With great local amenities, proximity to vibrant towns such as Worcester, Stratford, and Cheltenham, and a quick train link to London, Evesham is an ideal location to both live and work.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a candidate with proven management and leadership experience, particularly in a fast-paced environment. You should be proactive in problem-solving, have excellent communication skills, and be able to drive performance and efficiency. You’ll thrive on collaborating with a motivated team and will play an essential role in maintaining a positive and productive workplace. While experience in veterinary practice management is ideal, we are happy to offer training and support to the right candidate.

Providing you with a Work-Life Balance

This is a full-time position, though part-time candidates will also be considered. The working hours will be Monday to Friday, within the practice’s opening hours.
