Job description

Join our dedicated team at Cedarmount Veterinary Clinic, a well-established veterinary practice providing high-quality care to pets and their owners. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Practice Director to oversee the day-to-day operations, ensure the smooth running of our clinic, and support our staff in delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

As a Practice Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our veterinary practice, ensuring efficient workflow and providing exceptional client care. Your key responsibilities will include managing the practice's financial performance, such as budgeting, invoicing, and ensuring profitability. You will implement and maintain health and safety protocols to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and handle HR tasks including recruitment, training, and staff development. A key part of your role will be fostering a positive, collaborative work environment to promote high team morale, as well as managing inventory, ordering, and maintaining supplies and equipment. You will monitor client satisfaction and promptly address any concerns, while working closely with the senior management team to develop and implement strategies for practice growth.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a candidate with previous experience in a veterinary practice management role, or equivalent leadership experience in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills, along with financial acumen, including experience in budgeting and managing a P&L. A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving practice efficiency is essential, as well as excellent communication skills to effectively engage with both the team and clients.
