Location: Local working arrangement (minimum 3 days per week on-site)
Contract Type: 3-month contract minimum

Rate: £42 per hour

Join Our Team as a Practice Development Officer

We are seeking an experienced and registered Children's Social Worker to join our Workforce Development Team in a pivotal role. As a Practice Development Officer, you will play an essential part in supporting and mentoring our learners, delivering high-quality training, and promoting good practice throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and deliver bespoke training programmes for:
    1. Newly Qualified Social Workers
    2. ASYE programme participants
    3. Social Work Apprenticeships
    4. Step-Up to Social Work candidates
  2. Design and lead comprehensive training sessions, leveraging your expertise in:
    1. Children's legislation
    2. Case management
    3. Policies, frameworks, and procedures
  3. Supervise and mentor members of the social care workforce
  4. Support and collaborate with Practice Educators
  5. Promote and advocate for best practice across the organisation
  6. Contribute to quality assurance by participating in audits and improvement strategies
  7. Work collaboratively to implement continuous professional development strategies for our social care workforce
Requirements
  1. Registered Children's Social Worker (Social Work England)
  2. Experience in a Practice Development Officer role or similar
  3. Demonstrated ability to design and deliver high-quality training
  4. Strong communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills
  5. Ability to work both independently and within a team
  6. In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and frameworks
