Job description

Temporary contract until 31 December 2026 | £42,463 to £46,732 per annum (Scale K) | 37 hours per week | County Hall, Norwich

We offer a £2000 welcome payment for qualified and experienced Social Workers/Occupational Therapists (grade J and above), Practice Consultants and Team Managers new to Norfolk County Council. Amount to be repaid in full should they leave within two years of employment.

The Social Care Community Engagement (SCCE) team is an exciting and progressive team that provides a high-quality, fast-paced service. We are the first contact for many professionals and the public, aiming to support and understand the people we speak to and help them achieve a good life.

As a Social Work Practice Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping practice at the 'front door'. You will be part of a dynamic management team, supporting a team of case-holding Assistant Practitioners. Your responsibilities will include managing workflow, providing casework consultancy, and ensuring assessments meet the organisational aspirations around quality. Supervision of staff is required, and you will take a lead role in the team.
