The Royal Borough of Greenwich is an exciting and fulfilling place to work. Our key focus in Children’s Services is to ensure we provide excellent services for all our children, young people, and their families.
We have launched pioneering wellbeing hubs in eight of our secondary schools and we are now opening a hub in a ninth school. Our hubs give children of all backgrounds access to vital support for their wellbeing by addressing the root causes of persistent absence and non-attendance in school, especially where there are unmet emotional needs, caring responsibilities, or emerging contextual safeguarding concerns. The hubs act as a bridge between school, home and wider partnership agencies/services, and work directly with the young person, as well as providing comprehensive and intensive support to their wider family to ensure positive change is sustained.
The Role
The role of Practice Coordinator is a varied one. You will provide comprehensive administrative support and general assistance across the staff team in our 9 hubs, enabling them to perform their duties effectively and efficiently.
This includes coordinating meetings and staff diaries for meetings and training sessions and minuting the Strategic Board meetings. You will also coordinate data collection and collation to support our report writing.
In addition, you will work alongside the Service and Practice Leaders to develop, maintain and regularly update internal systems, both manual and IT, that enable and enhance the delivery of the service.
Whilst this role does not involve any direct work with children and their families, the coordinator will be the first point of contact for professionals from partnership agencies and where appropriate, the parents/carers of children and young people.
