It is essential that you have experience as an office or practice manager within the legal sector. Compliance experience is essential as you will be responsible for ensuring the practice meets its regulatory obligations and requirements in respect of various rules and regulations, particularly those imposed by the SRA. The role will also involve renewing practicing certificates, dealing with professional indemnity insurance, proposing improvements for the firm, and maintaining accreditations such as Lexcel.
