Hours: Full Time/Part Time (Hybrid working)

Our client is a successful Taunton based accountancy practice specializing in owner-managed businesses, primarily in the farming industry.

Practice Accountant - The Role

This is an exciting role for a qualified or part-qualified Practice Accountant who would enjoy the benefits and flexibilities of working in a small, friendly, highly motivated team environment.

As Practice Accountant, the role will include:

1. Preparation of accounts and corresponding tax returns for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies;
2. The use and interpretation of accounts to add value for clients;
3. Assisting with ad hoc commercial, financial, and tax advisory projects;
4. Preparation and use of budgets, cash flows, and management accounts;
5. Provision of software support to clients;
6. Maintaining technical knowledge in all relevant areas.

The Successful Applicant

You will be a motivated and friendly accountant with experience in a similar role.

Requirements for Practice Accountant include:

1. Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/AAT);
2. A minimum of 3 years' relevant experience;
3. Cloud-based accounting experience desirable;
4. An inquiring analytical mind and the ability to work under your own initiative;
5. Confidence to communicate effectively with clients and the team;
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
