Amazon UK is seeking a smart, self-motivated and creative individual for the role of PR Manager, working on Amazon devices and services, including Amazon Echo, Ring, Blink, Alexa, Kindle, Fire tablets, Fire TV and Kuiper.
The role involves working with a Senior PR Manager, PR Managers and PR agencies to manage launches, drive product/feature awareness through a rolling programme of proactive media outreach. You will manage creative PR campaigns across owned, earned, paid media, and work closely with business and marketing teams, as well as day-to-day press office activity.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Managing proactive creative PR campaigns and delivering clear, results-focused reports linked back to business goals
- Working with external PR support to develop and implement proactive PR plans for devices and services
- Planning proactive product and software launches and delivering clear, results-focused reports linked back to pre-defined objectives
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key media contacts
- Successfully tackling complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges
Minimum Requirements
- Experience in professional communications or public relations
- Several years of PR experience in agency or in-house
- Experience with working with major brands, preferably in the consumer technology sector
- Media relations experience in representing high-profile consumer brands, either in-house or agency
- Experience in dealing with consumer media, including news, technology and broadcast
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
- Knowledge of the consumer technology sector
- Knowledgeable about media topics and trends, with the ability to marry with our products and services for maximum PR benefit
- Proactive - enjoys taking responsibility and making things happen
- Creative - able to develop hooks/angles/campaigns that will be of interest to press
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
