Job description

A vacancy has arisen at England Athletics for a PR & Communications Manager, on a permanent basis. The individual will report to the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager and will collaborate closely with other members of the Marcomms team. The PR and Communications Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic communications plans that increase member engagement, raise the profile of our brand, and promote key programmes and initiatives.

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: Full Time
Contract: Permanent

This role is also crucial in enhancing and protecting the reputation of England Athletics, ensuring that all external and internal communications reflect our mission and values.

Responsibilities:
  1. Overseeing the day-to-day management of the England Athletics press office, ensuring timely and effective media relations while proactively identifying and seizing PR opportunities to increase visibility and promote the organisation's achievements.
  2. Leading corporate communications efforts, including the creation and implementation of tailored communications plans for all membership communications, ensuring alignment with our organisational goals and membership needs.
  3. Working cross-departmentally to identify and develop compelling good news stories, working closely with colleagues to highlight key successes, initiatives, and achievements within the athletics community.
