Job Title: Powder Coat Operative

Location: Leicester

Hours: Backshift between 3.15pm - 01.15am

Type: Full Time

Start Date: Immediately

We are hiring for a Powder Coater to undertake the preparation and application of paint on products of varying sizes in Leicester. This role involves working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, contributing to the production of high-quality products for on-time delivery to customers.

Duties of a Powder Coater:

1. Preparing products using techniques such as shot blasting, surface cleaning, sanding, and filling imperfections.
2. Loading products onto the paint line and applying primer and powder coatings using electrostatic techniques.
3. Mixing paint elements and setting ovens for curing.
4. Performing post-production quality inspections.
5. Using hand and power tools to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
6. Logging job times and reporting daily progress to the line manager.

Skills and Experience of a Powder Coater:

1. Powder coating and paint mixing.
2. Using hand-powered tools.

It would be beneficial if you also had:

1. An understanding of engineering job packs.
2. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
3. A self-motivated, detail-oriented attitude with a commitment to quality.
