The University of Oxford is seeking for a Laboratory Technician/ Post-graduate Research Assistant to work at the Centre for Human Genetics and the Cardiovascular Clinical Research Facility. They will join a wider team of clinicians and research personnel in delivering the CAREFOL-HT project, an antenatal study investigating the role of tetrahydrobiopterin in hypertensive pregnancies. The Research Assistant will be responsible for culturing human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) and performing endothelial tube formation assays, among other duties.
The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s in an appropriate subject area or HND in Biomedical Science, have an interest and experience in placental and vascular function in hypertensive pregnancies, as well as knowledge in preeclampsia, associated therapies, and the use of computational science in healthcare. The candidate should also have experience in one or more techniques in molecular, protein, and cell biology, as outlined in the Job Description.

From £33,882 per annum with an Oxford University Weighting of £1,500 per year (pro rata) - Grade 6. We would also look at taking on a grade 5 with the criteria changed to match.
