Are you passionate about improving and promoting the education, employment and training experiences of Post 16 care experienced young people? Lincolnshire Virtual School is recruiting a Post 16 (Education Employment and Training) Lead for Children in Care. This role requires an innovative person who will play an integral part in enhancing the life-chances of care experienced young people.

About the Role

The Post 16 (EET) Lead for Children in Care will use their skills and expertise to lead and support a small team of Post 16 Aspiration Coaches to support care experienced young people prepare for adulthood by accessing and making progress in education, employment and training. You will be working strategically to develop and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and promoting robust partnership working.

About You

The successful candidate must be a champion for young people and passionate about Post 16 Education. You will be outcomes driven and be able to motivate, challenge and support your team in a sometimes complex, but also rewarding environment.

Having a track record of being a strategic thinker, effective communicator with the ability to successfully manage change would be beneficial. Experience of working with young people and post 16 settings is essential, as is up to date knowledge and experience of pathways into education, employment and training.

The ability to analyse data to inform service priorities would be desirable. Recent experience of working in a leadership position and a firm understanding of the potential barriers faced by care experienced young people is important.

You will be given a nominated contractual work base and you will be required to commute to this work base when necessary. Working arrangements regarding hybrid working will be discussed as part of the appointment process.

Fluency Duty
