Job description

We've been approached by a client in the Private Credit space, who are looking to hire a Portfolio Manager (Associate Director), covering Impact Investments across Energy Transition, Fintech & Venture Debt.

Base salary is c. £100,000 + competitive bonus.

Company

Founded in 2014, the company has developed a proprietary AI/analytics software that uses machine learning to analyse loans/predict future cashflows, and power an automated investment platform that provides flexible financing solutions (nondilutive capital) to help businesses scale.

Due to the success of this technology, the business model has generated significant industry interest and the firm has witnessed impressive AUM growth - recently surpassing £500m, on track to hit £1bn in the next 2-3 years. They've lent £550m+ to date and have successfully raised over five funds, with another launch in the works - covering Decarbonisation/Climate Financing.

Role

Reporting directly into the MD/Head of Risk, the ideal candidate will have a strong ability to exercise judgment, contribute and influence strategic decision-making with regards to live deals and existing loans.

The role will manage a portfolio of the fund's clients, with responsibilities spanning commercial decision-making, portfolio recommendations, monitoring/presenting to investors, borrowers and stakeholders, as well as managing clients through the lending process.

Culture

The company is incredibly proud of their culture - they're very pro-hybrid, with a mature and flexible work-style. You're expected to work hard, of course, but equally, how you do this in practice matters less. Employees are encouraged to take gym classes in the work-day, work from home - with the important caveat that the work gets done, and to a high level.
