Who we're looking for at Cazenove Capital
We're looking for a Portfolio Manager to join our Wealth Management division known as Cazenove Capital, which is part of the Schroders group. Someone who is passionate about delivering excellent client service and investment management for our clients. We want someone who can work as a part of a team, potentially managing reports and prospecting for new business. You'll be busy, hands-on and can-do.

What you'll do

1. Manage, either directly or in conjunction with Portfolio Director and/or Associate/Assistant Portfolio Manager, client relationships and individual client portfolios in line with appropriate and agreed Strategic Asset Allocation, benchmarks and restrictions.
2. Fully understand the client's inter-family relationships, individual circumstances, risk profile, investment objectives, specific restrictions and resulting mandates.
3. Within each asset class, recommend and action any changes to underlying securities and/or funds in line with appropriate models and funds buy-list.
4. Report to the clients in a timely and professional manner.
5. Meet with clients regularly and ensure any action agreed is minuted and implemented.
6. React to all client related enquiries in a timely manner and maintain a record of responses.
7. Have primary responsibility for new client set-up, sign off and maintenance in a timely fashion (Inc. KYC, ML/DD suitability and restrictions). This to include issuance of the Welcome/Initial Policy Letter.
8. Manage and train Assistant Portfolio Managers or Associate Portfolio Managers on the team where applicable and ensure they attend client meetings.
9. Undertake regular review of the work allocated to Administrative Assistant/Client Service Executive and where applicable work with the Assistant Portfolio Manager to ensure that:
10. Mandates are adhered to;
11. Risk profiles are respected;
12. Clients are treated fairly;
13. Suitable revenue from the clients is achieved;
14. Performance dispersion is minimised across client base when mandate/risk profile is similar.
15. Actively market and develop profitable new client relationships both internally and externally.
16. Identify and convert new business opportunities in order to achieve your personal New Business target.
17. Assist others to achieve their New Business aims, either by way of recipient or key contributor to successful new relationships.
18. Manage and train Assistant or Associate managers on the team where applicable.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

1. Strong understanding of global segregated offering.
2. Controlled Function 30 - Customer function.
3. An approved Level 4 or above FSA approved regulatory qualification.
4. The CISI Diploma or equivalent higher level qualification.
5. Must obtain a Statement of Professional Standing on an annual basis.
6. Professional, organised, motivated, self-starter, strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
7. Demonstrated investment experience.
