Job title: Portfolio Manager (Technology Portfolio)
Location: Remote (Occasional Travel Required)
Salary: Up to 75,000 per annum + benefits

Are you an experienced Portfolio Manager looking for a high-impact role within a fast-growing organisation? We are exclusively recruiting for a Portfolio Manager to oversee a technology-driven portfolio of transformation projects for a leading organisation in the public sector.

This is a confidential opportunity to join an ambitious business that has doubled in size in recent years, with plans to reach 2bn revenue by 2025. As part of their ongoing investment in technology, they are seeking an experienced professional to establish and enhance their portfolio management function, ensuring strategic alignment and governance across key projects.

The Role:

  1. Oversee a portfolio of technology projects at varying stages of their lifecycle.
  2. Implement a structured project selection and onboarding process to ensure effective prioritisation and tracking.
  3. Provide senior leadership with data-driven insights to enhance decision-making.
  4. Build strong relationships across the organisation and present cross-portfolio risks and issues at the executive level.
  5. Establish best practices in governance, ensuring a sustainable, business-as-usual portfolio function.

What We're Looking For:

  1. Proven experience managing multi-project portfolios within a transformation environment.
  2. Strong governance, risk, and stakeholder management skills.
  3. A background in technology-enabled change and an understanding of its impact on business operations.
  4. Public sector or NHS experience is highly desirable.
  5. Accredited in portfolio or programme management methodologies (MoP, MSP, or equivalent is a plus).
  6. The ability to influence senior stakeholders and present portfolio insights with authority.
