What is the opportunity?

We have an excellent opportunity for a Portfolio Management Assistant to join our Manchester office on a permanent basis.

The team takes responsibility for looking after the composition and construction of all client portfolios, including stock selection and asset allocation. The right candidate will be professional and enthusiastic, with a willingness to learn and develop.

What will you do?

  • Develop your knowledge of Wealth Management, the wider business offering and the Financial Services sector.
  • Support the Portfolio Manager(s) and Wealth Manager(s) in production of portfolio proposals, reviews and associated client administration.
  • Execute trades on instruction from CP Portfolio Manager or Wealth Manager, where appropriate.
  • Complete all work according to procedures and standards.
  • Collate and verify the accuracy of information and work provided.
  • Assist in preparation for a new client meeting.
  • Support business development through correct application of client processes and procedures.
  • Assist team members as required and work effectively with colleagues.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • An understanding of portfolio management, client advice processes and industry knowledge.
  • Maths GCSE or equivalent.

Nice-to-have

  • A level or degree educated
