This role is eligible for the Campus Services New Starter Bonus* (£1,000) and Campus Services Refer a Friend bonus.
The University of Bath's Campus Services houses over 5000 students throughout the academic year and during the summer months, external companies use our accommodation services for conferences, summer camps and away days.
The Campus Services department was created in August 2022 by combining all the facilities teams across the University into one department to support our University strategy, where strong campus services are essential to underpin excellence in education, research and experience for students, staff, visitors and commercial customers alike.
With over 400 staff, Campus Services consists of a diverse range of teams including student living, hospitality, retail, cleaning and portering, security, postal services and landscaping.
Since last August we have continued to develop the services we provide in response to the changing needs of the University.
You’ll have a key role in helping students transition from living at home to fully independent living and ensuring all our accommodation users have the best possible experience when staying with us.
This role is 36.5 hours a week working shifts 9am-5:20pm.
This role involves working on a 5 over 7 rota. Portering is required in some areas at weekends, therefore there is an expectation to work weekends on a rota basis. Weekend rota work requirements apply mainly during the summer peak period.
We are flexible on working hours - please outline any specific requests to your application form.
For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Ben Jones at baj20@bath.ac.uk or Jane Hately at baj20@bath.ac.uk. Full details of this role can be found in the job description.
Campus Services New Starter bonus In addition to the great benefits Campus Services offers, we can offer you a £1,000 bonus. This is payable the month after successfully passing your six months’ probation.
This role is also eligible for the Campus Services Refer a Friend bonus*. If a University staff member has ‘referred’ you to apply for this vacancy they may be eligible for a bonus. Please ensure when applying you select ‘Campus Services Employee Referral’ when answering the question ‘Where did you learn of this job?' and email campusserviceshr@bath.ac.uk the name of the person who referred you.
Both bonuses are subject to terms and conditions.
