PMO Manager

Cheltenham - Hybrid

Up to £95,000 + car allowance + bonus

VIQU has partnered with a prominent global leader in industrial engineering, widely recognised for designing and maintaining advanced industrial systems. They are currently seeking an experienced PMO Manager to further develop and strengthen their newly established PMO function. The successful PMO manager will be responsible for the seamless service delivery of a large-scale global ERP implementation programme, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery while maintaining stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities of the PMO Manager:

  • Oversee the central PMO functions, processes, standards, and compliance across all global projects and programmes, including the global ERP system implementation.
  • Lead and manage the PMO team, providing mentorship to staff at all levels, from junior to senior.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate production of reports, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Actively contribute to drafting PMO reports, preparing steering packs, conducting risk assessments, reviewing workstream reports, and overseeing portfolio leads.
  • Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, ensuring clear communication and engagement throughout the service.
  • Manage and resolve escalations efficiently.
  • Establish and enforce strong governance frameworks for all projects and programmes.
  • Continuously enhance processes, methods, standards, and service offerings to drive ongoing improvement.

Experience Required of the PMO Manager:

  • Extensive experience in delivering global ERP implementation programmes, with a proven track record of success.
  • Over 10 years of experience in global PMO leadership and execution.
  • At least 5 years of team management experience, with a strong ability to build, mentor, and enhance high-performing teams.
  • Proven expertise in managing Systems Integrators to successfully deliver complex projects and programmes.
  • Skilled in creating engaging and visually compelling PowerPoint presentations.
  • Adept at generating insightful reports that drive informed decision-making and provide valuable business insights.
  • Possession of relevant certifications such as APMG or PMI.
