PMO Lead

Exciting opportunity for a Project Management Office (PMO) & Projects Lead to join a global environmental improvement product company, responsible for overseeing the project management framework, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and align with the company growth strategy. Birmingham area – hybrid working options.

This role involves training designated employees on project management skills, establishing best practices, and providing guidance on project execution. Also responsible for overseeing several key projects, and for supporting the project management tool (Monday) in terms of licenses, access, and best practices.

Our client is a world-leading manufacturer and provider of products and solutions to the global pest control and horticultural product industries. The aim of the Project Management Office & Projects Lead is to support profitable, organic growth, within the framework of foundational and breakthrough growth projects.

These projects in turn support sales of world class sustainable and innovative pest management solutions to both retail partners and to professional pest control customers and distributors across a global customer base, providing peace of mind and protecting public health. The role will also support some of the key sustainability and brand projects.

This position works with many teams including sales, marketing, human resources, and operations teams, with an emphasis on ensuring projects are delivered in line with agreed milestones, KPIs and cost / profitability parameters. The ability to help project leads develop and drive SMART KPIs across projects is critical.

PMO & Project Lead - Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement agreed project management methodologies and standards.
2. Monitor and report on the progress of Propel projects, ensuring alignment with timelines and budgets.
3. Help project managers set SMART KPIs for each project.
4. Train a core group of employees on best practice project management techniques.
5. Provide leadership, mentorship, and training for project managers and the CIP leads.
6. Track and analyse project performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

PMO & Projects Lead – Candidate Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, Project Management, or a related field; PMP or similar certification preferred, together with membership of the Project Management Institute or similar professional organisation.
2. Proven experience in project management and leadership.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
5. Proficiency in project management tools and software.
6. Knowledge of Monday.com would be a positive.
