Job description

Loom Talent Limited have been exclusively appointed by a rapidly growing, well-known, 3PL in Bury-St-Edmunds to help recruit a PM Warehouse Supervisor.

Our client operates in the 3PL space for multiple sectors, and they are committed to maintaining the highest standards of service, safety, and overall operational efficiency.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role operates on a Monday to Friday, PM Shift basis of 14:00 - 22:00 with occasional flexibility required to suit business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. People-Centric Leadership: Lead and inspire a dedicated team of 3 x Team leaders to reach their full potential. Your focus on the well-being and development of your staff will be the cornerstone of success whilst having a continuous improvement mindset.
  2. Health & Safety: Uphold rigorous health and safety standards, fostering a culture of safety awareness throughout the warehouse and distribution arm of the business.
  3. Performance Metrics: Continue to evolve the organisational approach to KPI's, whilst ensuring existing and new site standardisation.
  4. Supply Chain Excellence: Oversee all aspects of UK warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfilment and quality control.
  5. WMS Expertise: Utilise your experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Business Systems to drive operational efficiency. Familiarity with WMS & ERP implementations is a definite plus.
  6. Process Optimisation: Continuously identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve productivity while ensuring quality and accuracy.
  7. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the seamless flow of goods from the warehouse to the end customer.
Key Candidate Requirements:
  1. Have a Logistics Distribution & Supply Chain background - Essential.
  2. Have a minimum of 2+ years' experience at a Warehouse Team Leader / FLM / Section Leader, Supervisor or Shift Manager level - Essential.
  3. Have managed teams beyond 15+ employees through managerial reports - Essential.
  4. Knowledge of IT / WMS & ERP systems - Advantageous.
  5. Exceptional people management skills - Essential.
  6. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities - Essential.
  7. Commutable to Bury-St-Edmunds - Essential.
Salary & Benefits Package:
