Plumber Gas Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Plumber/Gas Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas appliances and systems in both residential and commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively with various tools and equipment.

Duties

1. Install, service, and repair gas appliances, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
2. Conduct thorough inspections of gas systems to identify issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
3. Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for assembly and installation tasks.
4. Perform plumbing tasks related to gas installations, including pipe fitting and welding as necessary.
5. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used during each job.
6. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to ensure seamless project execution.
7. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding their gas systems.

Requirements

1. Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role is essential.
2. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
3. Proficiency in basic maths for measurements and calculations related to installations.
4. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is advantageous for transporting equipment as needed.
5. Ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
6. Experience in plumbing, welding, or carpentry will be considered a plus.
7. Must be physically fit to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or moving around job sites.
8. Relevant qualifications or certifications in gas engineering are required.
9. 3 years experience.
10. Van LEZ compliant.
