Facilities Engineer (Plumbing Bias)

Location: Coventry and Surrounding
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £33,000 - £37,000

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer (Plumbing Bias) to join our team. This role involves maintaining and repairing a variety of plumbing systems, with additional responsibilities in general facilities maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a plumbing background, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform planned and reactive maintenance on plumbing systems.
  2. Ensure compliance with water regulations and plumbing standards.
  3. Diagnose and repair faults efficiently to minimize downtime.
  4. Carry out minor building fabric maintenance and repairs.
  5. Maintain health & safety standards in all work activities.
  6. Work collaboratively with the wider maintenance team.

Essential Requirements:
  1. NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing (or equivalent).
  2. Strong plumbing maintenance experience within a trade or FM environment.
  3. Knowledge of water regulations and plumbing standards.
  4. Full UK Driving Licence.
  5. Motivated and proactive approach with excellent communication skills.

Desirable Skills:
  1. Experience working in leisure centres or similar environments.
  2. Pool plant operations experience.
  3. Additional skills in electrical work, carpentry, or general building fabric maintenance.
  4. PASMA, IPAF, First Aid qualifications.
  5. Ability to work at height & experience using power tools.
  6. Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
