PLC Electrical Technician

Job Description

Our client, a well-known industrial automation company that supports a variety of industries, is now adding to their Engineering Maintenance Department.

If you have a manufacturing/industrial electrical technician background and enjoy PLC programming on legacy and automated machines, then this could be a great opportunity!

Essential Job Functions:

1. Works as a contributing member of the Engineering staff in support of the design, construction, installation, and validation (FAT/SAT) of equipment and processes.
2. Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components (e.g., relays, switches, transformers, motors, motor controllers, positioning sensing devices, PLCs, and motion control systems).
3. Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment, such as textile converting and plastic processing equipment.
4. Plans layout and installs wiring and devices for electrical control panels and total system wiring per engineered drawings.
5. Assists the Maintenance Department with troubleshooting and diagnosing process control systems and devices when required.
6. Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs, AC VFD, servo, and DC drive technology.
