Job description

Our South Yorkshire based client is looking to appoint a plater welder for a growing manufacturing business that supplies to a number of highly regulated industries. The ideal plater welder is someone who can read from drawings and is capable of working with a range of exotic metals. You must also have the ability to prepare, cut, and grind the materials ready for welding.

Responsibilities:

1. Adhere to procedures & Health and Safety standards.
2. Ensure tolerances and parameters are met to satisfy quality and fabrication position requirements.
3. Experience working with pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
4. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
5. Understand material schedules.
6. Ability to cut, grind, and finish applications.
7. Experience with exotic materials such as duplex and titanium is advantageous.

Qualifications / Skills:

1. Qualified in a suitable area.
2. Experienced in working within heavy fabrication.
