Job description

PLATER / FABRICATOR

We are recruiting for an experienced Plater / Fabricator to work for our client who are located in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

THE DUTIES OF A PLATER / FABRICATOR:

  1. Reading engineering drawings for parts to be fabricated/welded.
  2. Preparing and fabrication of various sizes of projects.
  3. Achieve production timings in a timely manner.
  4. Communicating with Project Managers during production.
  5. Following all Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental procedures.
  6. Completing fabrication as required and recording critical dimensions on inspection reports and performing safety checks.
  7. Varied and interesting work, requiring attention to accuracy and detail to ensure tight tolerances are met.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:

  1. Minimum 2 years' experience working within a high precision manufacturing background.
  2. Excellent communication skills.

THE HOURS:

Monday - Thursday 6.00am - 4.00pm (overtime available)

THE PAY:

You will earn an hourly rate of £16 an hour depending on experience. Overtime available at £24 per hour.
