Shifts: Monday - Friday, Days
Pay Rate: £20.94 - £22.94 per hour (umbrella)
Hours per week: 38 hours per week
Duration: Ongoing

Due to significant growth, they are seeking motivated and skilled Steel Platers to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cut, shape, and assemble steel plate components with precision.
2. Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
3. Utilize fabrication machines, including grinders, drill presses, brakes, rolls, shears, and flame cutters, to process materials.
4. Conduct visual inspections to ensure all work meets quality standards and aligns with technical drawings.
5. Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
6. Participate in the development of templates and jigs for repetitive tasks to ensure consistent quality.
7. Be flexible to respond to emergency situations and unplanned repairs outside of normal working hours, including on-call duties and potential night shifts.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication.
2. Proficiency in using fabrication equipment such as drilling machines, rolling machines, and guillotines.
3. Strong understanding of quality control processes and inspection techniques.
4. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
5. Competence in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
6. Experience working with steel metals and familiarity with various fabrication methods.
7. Physical stamina to handle the demands of the role, including lifting and prolonged periods of standing.
