Job description

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out plastering repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks in social housing properties, including patching, skimming, re-plastering, and applying render to walls and ceilings.
  2. Work on both internal and external plastering projects, ensuring that work is completed to a high standard.
  3. Prepare surfaces for plastering, including cleaning and priming, to ensure proper adhesion and a long-lasting finish.
  4. Repair and re-plaster damaged areas, such as cracks, holes, and water-damaged surfaces, to restore them to a safe and presentable condition.
  5. Maintain a clean and tidy work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly cared for and that the work area is safe for both tenants and colleagues.
  6. Respond to and complete plastering jobs in a timely manner, including emergency repairs and routine maintenance.
  7. Communicate with tenants and schedule work to ensure minimal disruption, ensuring that work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  8. Follow all health and safety guidelines and company policies when performing plastering tasks, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  9. Maintain accurate records of completed jobs, including time spent, materials used, and any relevant issues.
  10. Liaise with other tradespeople and management to ensure repairs and maintenance tasks are completed as part of a team.
