Job description

Advanced Resourcing are recruiting on behalf of their client based in Dudley for a plasma/profile cutter. This company is expanding rapidly and due to increased orders are looking to expand their team.

Job Role

1. Operate and maintain the plasma cutting machine to cut steel plates accurately.
2. Set up and calibrate the machine for different cutting requirements.
3. Handle and position steel plates safely using lifting equipment as required.
4. Adjust gas flow rates and ensure the correct mixture of oxy-acetylene for efficient cutting.
5. Monitor the cutting process and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy.
6. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
7. Work closely with production teams to meet project deadlines and maintain efficiency.

Experience/Requirements

1. Proven experience operating plasma/profile cutting machines.
2. Strong understanding of oxy-fuel cutting principles and best practices.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

The Package

1. 12-week temporary to permanent contract.
2. £12.50 - £13 per hour.
3. Shift options available: 06:00 - 22:00, 14:00 - 22:00, or permanent afternoons 14:00 - 22:00.
4. Options to learn and progress onto other machines.
