With a successful £15 million Series A funding round and our cutting-edge production facility in North Wales, we are on track to eliminate gigatons of carbon emissions.

We’re an ever-expanding team of innovators, scientists, and experts, combining our unique blend of experience, skills, and expertise to drive change in the cement and concrete industry.

Join us, and be part of a groundbreaking effort to build a more sustainable world, one material at a time.

About The Role:

As the Plant Supervisor, you will be responsible for the operational performance of our first-of-its-kind manufacturing facility. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong focus on plant availability, process efficiency, product quality, and continuous improvement. The role will report directly to the Director of Process Engineering.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing a small production team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure operational excellence.
  2. Overseeing logistics, production, quality control, maintenance, and laboratory functions for a 120,000tpa operation.
  3. Effectively managing plant, materials, and personnel to achieve production targets.
  4. Implementing operational strategies to enhance productivity, drive best practices, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  5. Establishing and enforcing quality control standards to ensure products consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.
  6. Ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and company policies, while proactively mitigating operational risks.
  7. Developing and executing plant maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and enhance efficiency.
  8. Managing external 3rd party maintenance contractors.
  9. Executing Stay in Business (SIP) or Operational projects.
  10. Working closely with internal stakeholders, including R&D and Process Engineering, to implement new product formulations.

This is a critical role in ensuring the success of our manufacturing operations, requiring a proactive and strategic approach to leadership, process management, and operational excellence.

Required Skills & Experience:

If you're eager to join a company with the potential to make a significant environmental impact, read on - here’s what we’re looking for:

  1. Extensive production management experience, ideally within powder-based industries such as food, chemicals, cement, or fertilizer manufacturing.
  2. Background in developing and executing maintenance tasks.
  3. Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations, quality management systems, and lean manufacturing principles.
  4. Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and safety.
  5. Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  6. Adaptability and resilience, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage shifting priorities effectively.
  7. Experience operating weighbridges and loading tankers (highly desirable).
  8. Educational background in mechanical fitting, boiler making, or electrician will be advantageous.
  9. Familiarity with SCADA systems in a production setting (a plus).

Along with a competitive salary, we offer an outstanding benefits package, including 25 days holiday (plus an extra day for your birthday), cycle to work scheme, learning budget, and social events.
