Job Title: Plant Operator
Location: Pontypridd
Pay Rate: £27 per hour

Job Description:
My client is seeking an experienced and qualified Plant Operator to join their team for a project with the National Grid in Pontypridd. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary qualifications and experience to operate plant machinery safely and efficiently while working in line with National Grid's standards and health & safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate plant machinery, including diggers and dumpers, on construction and maintenance sites.
• Ensure safe operation of machinery while adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Assist with the excavation, loading, and unloading of materials and equipment as required.
• Carry out routine checks and maintenance of machinery to ensure safe and effective operation.
• Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth project execution.
• Follow all site-specific safety procedures and guidelines, including working with high voltage and other critical infrastructure.
• Maintain and ensure all plant equipment is in compliance with National Grid standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• NG Persons (National Grid Person) certification.
• Valid Digger/Dumper Ticket (CPCS or equivalent).
• HSG47 Health & Safety regulations in relation to plant operation.
• Proven experience operating plant machinery, especially in high-risk environments.
• Strong understanding of site health and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
• Previous experience working on National Grid sites is an advantage.

• Work is located in Pontypridd; transport may be required depending on location.
• The position offers a competitive pay rate of £27 per hour, with potential overtime.
