Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Plant Operator with 5 years experience to join a well-established company, delivering specialist equipment solutions across telecoms, utilities, and infrastructure sectors worldwide. This full-time role offers excellent benefits and a competitive salary.

As a Plant Operator, you will be providing first-line technical support, managing plant operations, and deputising in the absence of the LPG Operations Manager to ensure smooth departmental functioning.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Assisting operational activities, primarily reporting to the LPG Operations Manager.
  2. Acting as Site Controller in the absence of the LPG Manager.
  3. Preparing routine and non-routine operational procedures for approval.
  4. Providing technical support to colleagues onsite.
  5. Completing accurate documentation and records.
  6. Supporting planning and managing workload effectively.
  7. Conducting LPG ship discharge operations and supervising jetty operators.
  8. Managing the Plant team in the absence of the LPG Manager during holidays or sick leave.

What we are looking for:

  1. Previously worked as a LPG Plant Technician, Plant Operations Technician, Plant Maintenance Technician, Gas Plant Technician, LPG Operations Technician, Plant Supervisor, Plant Technician, Plant Controller, Gas Operations Technician, LPG Site Technician, Plant Team Leader, Process Technician, Technical Plant Operator, Control Room Technician, Plant Engineer or in a similar role.
  2. At least 5 years experience in a gas or similar industry.
  3. Experience with emergency processes within mains, LPG, or plant operations.
  4. IOSH Managing Safety certification.
  5. Understanding of plant maintenance and operations.
  6. Strong technical, operational, and process knowledge relevant to gas and LPG operations.
  7. Familiarity with Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.
