Job description

An incredible opportunity for a professional and enthusiastic individual to join a family-run, ever-growing business as a full-time Plant and Maintenance Engineer. The Bicester-based company would require working within a small team and will primarily focus on maintaining, repairing and attending breakdowns as well as supporting routine processes with occasional visits to customer sites; therefore, you must be able to work well in a team and to a fast pace and have a keen eye for detail and accuracy.


Hours of work would be 08:30am-16:30pm Monday to Friday.


Duties of the Role:
  1. General on site/facilities maintenance, emergency repairs, calibration of equipment and preventative maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  2. Service, maintenance and calibration of SAS Air Samplers and Multi SAS systems, which could include site visits or potential travel to Western Europe.
  3. Liaise with customers and colleagues to provide services including repair or calibration quotes and new sales orders of equipment, building orders and shipping.
  4. Check and verify other engineer’s required documents.
  5. Installation of machinery and equipment both on site and at customer sites.
  6. Observation and adherence to all safety procedures.

You must:
  1. Be a multi-skilled electrical and mechanical engineer with a suitable BTEC ONC, City and Guilds, Apprenticeship or University Qualification.
  2. Show previous experience in facility maintenance, PPM, breakdown of company equipment, systems check including pneumatic/RO/HVAC systems, and process engineering.
  3. Work well within a team and contribute to all areas of the business.
  4. Demonstrate strong organisation skills.
  5. Be flexible and willing to work overtime or be away from home for short periods when required.
  6. Conduct all work and observation to a high standard with a “right first-time approach” and keen eye for detail.
  7. Display clear and effective communication skills with both colleagues and customers.
  8. Hold a full UK Drivers Licence.
  9. Able to use a lathe and milling machine for various repairs and modifications.
  10. Have proficient skills in technology and Windows, ERP and asset/maintenance management systems.
  11. Approach work with a positive “can-do” attitude.
