Job Description

We are currently partnering with a Local Government based in Kent, who are recruiting for a Planning Lawyer to join their growing team on a temporary basis for initially 9-months.

This is a full-time or part-time position and the rate is negotiable.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):
  1. Helping the team with S106 caseload support, compulsory purchase and regeneration legal work, including high value major development and infrastructure projects
  2. Supporting the team with public enquiries and autonomously dealing with caseload
  3. Providing high quality well researched legal advice and assistance to client departments within agreed timescales, in regards to planning matters
  4. Supporting the Principal Solicitor and other colleagues in ensuring that a professional, comprehensive legal service is provided to the Council, its Members and Officers
  5. Advising at Planning Committees as required
Experience required:
  1. Must be a qualified solicitor
  2. 2 years + PQE
