Job Description Planned Preventative Maintenance Engineer London, United Kingdom (On-site)

PPM Engineer - Fire Detection – Pirin Court - Nights

Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, the PPM Engineer will undertake planned maintenance activities on a wide range of assets mainly on the Trackside environment. You’ll be working on a permanent night Sunday to Thursday pattern and in all weather. You’ll be trusted to work autonomously and relied on to make sure you always work safely. There will be a great deal of travel from station to station, so it is imperative that you have a full driver’s license.

The key deliverables of this role are as follows:

  • Completing preventative maintenance tasks on a nightly basis
  • Experience to guide the delivery of Daily tasks in line with business expectations
  • Working as part of a team and individually dependent on task
  • Health and Safety awareness and practice
  • Monitoring of works to ensure continued compliance
  • Utilising our ServiceNow platform to update and complete visit reports

The responsibilities for this role include:

  • Provide accurate site reports on completed activities to either the site SPC or your line manager
  • Responsible for completion of maintenance against defined schedule
  • Ensure maintenance is completed to required standard and report any issues
  • Complete any administration tasks in a timely manner
  • Comply with relevant QEHS requirements
  • Comply with Drug & Alcohol policy

Qualifications / Skill Requirements:

  • Understanding of required system maintenance procedures relating to the specific contract you are aligned to.
  • Previous working knowledge of appropriate systems
  • Previous experience working within the LUL or Rail environment

Who you are:

We are seeking an Engineer with an understanding of planned or preventative fire maintenance (PPM) and ideally London Underground or Network Rail industry experience.

  • This role is to work permanent nights, Sunday to Thursday, 10pm – 6am.
  • Previous experience in single or multi-site maintenance
  • Experience within a Fire MaintenanceFire Detection environment or London Underground/Network Rail environment
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Drug & Alcohol testing is required for this role
