Job description

Our client is seeking experienced Pipelayers/Main Layers to join the Grove Farm HS2 project with EKFB in Wendover. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled operatives with a background in utilities, pipelines, or civils projects to contribute to a high-profile development.

Wendover
Working on the Grove Farm HS2 project with EKFB


Scope of Work:

  1. Installing and maintaining pipelines for utilities and drainage systems
  2. Laying pipes to line, level, and grade in line with project specifications
  3. Working with various pipe materials, including plastic, clay, and concrete
  4. Connecting and sealing pipe joints to prevent leaks and ensure durability
  5. Assisting with excavation, backfilling, and compacting materials
  6. Adhering to Health & Safety guidelines and ensuring compliance with RAMS
  7. Collaborating with the site team to ensure project targets and deadlines are met

Key Requirements:

  1. Previous experience working on utilities, pipelines, or civils projects (essential)
  2. Strong knowledge of pipe laying techniques and groundworks
  3. Valid CSCS card (essential)
  4. Confined Space certification (preferred but not essential)
  5. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
  6. Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures and RAMS
  7. Experience with EKFB processes or HS2 projects is advantageous

Rates & Benefits:
£200 - £230 per day CIS, depending on experience and qualifications
Potential for contract extension based on performance


Duration:
6 months minimum, with the possibility of extension

May 2025
