Job Description

We are currently recruiting for pipe welders / fitters based in Northamptonshire to join our client's team for ongoing work. Some of the work will be carried out in our client's workshop near Daventry, but if you are happy to travel to different sites, which are mainly located from the Northwest, east coast and down to the south coast. If you are happy working away from home, you will be required for the majority of the year and accommodation will be supplied. Due to the nature of the work being on and off site, you will be required to have a site safety card.

Rates

• Pipe welder: £25phr
• Pipefitter: £25phr
• Multipurpose Welder: £26phr

Required Skills

• Weld to a radiograph standard and complete pipe coding's as required. Weld trade test will be required which will be x-rayed.
• Be skilled with various fitting & fabrication techniques.
• Demonstrate the safe use of associated equipment including abrasive wheels, grinders etc.

Essential Experience

• CCNSG / CSCS or equivalent
• TIG welding
• Previous qualifications/codings in 6G/equivalent.
• Perform welding operations to a radiographic standard.
• Ability to read pipe engineering drawings.
• Worked on various material grades, with single and multi-run welds.
• Competent to work in silo from start to project completion.

Desirable Qualifications

• Time served apprentice.
• City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3 or BTEC ONC equivalent qualification.
• NVQ Level 3 in fabrication & Welding / Plating & Welding.
