Pipefitter

I am currently recruiting for Pipefitters for our client at their site in Govan on a permanent basis.

The client's shipbuilding business is growing, and we are recruiting pipefitters to fabricate and install pipework systems and utilities.

Ideally, candidates need a marine, heavy industry, or oil and gas background for this role.

What you'll be doing:

1. Fabricating and installing pipework systems in large and small-bore pipework using different materials (copper, cuni, and carbon steel).
2. Using a range of hand tools and mechanical equipment to cut, bend, braze, solder, and weld pipes.
3. Installing utilities aboard the ship.

Skills and experience required for the role:

1. Current knowledge and experience of pipe manufacture and installation, and use of associated equipment.
2. Clear understanding of SHE risks awareness.
3. Comfortable working in confined spaces and/or at height.

Salary:

£37,318 (Shift allowance of 33% may be applicable).

Candidates will attend a trade test before receiving an offer and, if successful, will need to gain security clearance.
