Job Description:

The focus of the role is to complete multiple projects across customer sites throughout the Midlands/Corby offices. Experience within boiler houses and plant rooms is preferred as projects will predominantly involve the installation of new industrial steam boilers.

NVQ level 3 or equivalent in piping fitting/fabrication and welding processes is preferred but not essential. Welding processes for this position will typically be MMA and/or TIG.

Daily duties will involve:

1. Accurately measure up, sketch out and install pipework systems.
2. Part of a small team, reading sketches and engineering drawings.
3. Welding of up to 24 schedule pipework to class 1 standard.
4. Using fabrication tools such as welding plant, cutting plant oxy/acetylene, 4.5-9-inch angle grinders, drilling machines, pistol drills, chop saws, and general hand tools.

In addition to daily duties, key tasks will include:

We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills and can use their own initiative to work without constant supervision. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have 2 years of experience or more.

Salary is based on experience, with weekend and overtime work always a possibility. All health and safety training is provided, as well as transport when required.

This is a permanent contract subject to completion of a satisfactory probation period. Core hours are 7.30-16.00 Monday to Friday, but flexibility to suit customer needs is expected.

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
