Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine pipe system layout.
• Measure, cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes using hand and power tools.
• Install and secure pipes, fittings, and fixtures according to industry standards.
• Inspect and test installed pipe systems for leaks using pressure gauges and other equipment.
• Perform maintenance and repair on existing piping systems as needed.
• Work with various types of pipes, including steel, copper, PVC, and stainless steel.
• Follow safety regulations and guidelines while working in different environments, including confined spaces and heights.

Essential Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in pipefitting is preferred.
• Certification in pipe fitting or a related field is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in piping installations.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
• Strong knowledge of pipe installation techniques and welding basics.
• Ability to work with various tools, including pipe cutters, welding torches, and threading machines.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in challenging environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
