Picking Operative

Apply today to work as a Picking Operative for our client's fruit and veg produce site, which distributes throughout the country.

Staffline is recruiting Picking Operatives in Selby.

The rate of pay is £12.21 per hour.

Overtime is available and paid at £15.26 per hour.

This is a full-time role working fixed shifts, Monday to Friday (overtime on Saturday), 8-hour shifts. The start times are between 6am and 8am.

Applicants must be able to get to the location because there is no public transport around the site (YO8 8HD).

Your Time at Work

As a Picking Operative, your duties will include:

1. Working in a greenhouse-type of environment, picking different salads directly from the plant
2. Picking fresh produce in terms of Cucumbers, Tomatoes, and Aubergines
3. Rotate around jobs within the pick house to give a variety
4. Working in a warm environment so any clothing you are comfortable in.
5. Working in temperatures of up to 25 degrees

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect Packing Operative will be fit and healthy as it requires long periods of concentration. You must be able to lift heavy items.

No previous experience necessary as full training is provided.
