Physiotherapy Services Manager

St Bartholomew’s Hospital (Barts) | Physiotherapy | Permanent | Full Time | Salary up to £68,000 per annum dependent on experience

37.5 hours per week

As a Physiotherapy Services Manager at our St Bartholomew’s Hospital (Barts), you will have a BSc or equivalent in Physiotherapy. You will also be registered with the CSP and HCPC and be able to provide evidence of relevant training and ongoing CPD. A strong experience of working in a leadership position and managing a clinical service is also essential.

As our Physiotherapy Services Manager, you will:

  • Manage a clinical caseload and undertake assessments and treatment of patients across service lines offered at that site (inpatients, outpatients, MSK)
  • Demonstrate sound clinical reasoning skills in sometimes complex scenarios to ensure highest quality of care is delivered to patients.
  • Manage and develop your team in line with the Nuffield Health performance excellence framework and act as a role model, leading, coaching and mentoring the local team.
  • Be a strong advocate for the physiotherapy business and able to gain staff engagement for delivery of organizational strategy.
  • Provide clinical support to peers and to physiotherapists and associated health professionals working in therapies and cardiac rehabilitation and ensure that staff have Performance Excellence reviews, training, and access to required expertise and information.
  • Lead the recruitment process for your department including physiotherapy administrative staff and juniors to consultant level.

We’ve opened the doors to Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew’s Hospital: The City of London’s only independent hospital, situated next to St Bartholomew’s NHS hospital. This is our flagship center for cardiac services and will also provide a full range of surgical and medical services, including: orthopaedics, oncology, general surgery, gynecology and urology services.

Our hospital consists of 55 beds, including 7 Specialist intensive care beds, four of the most advanced digital operating theatres and Endoscopy and minor ops theatre. With 28 consultation rooms, a Cardiac catheterisation lab, Oncology Day unit and full diagnostic imaging suite including MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography and general X-ray.
