Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust is currently seeking an experienced Pelvic Health Physiotherapist to provide a high quality, responsive service for patients with neuromusculoskeletal/orthopaedic conditions related to pregnancy and/or women's health problems related to pelvic floor muscle dysfunction, urological, or gynaecological conditions.

Main duties of the job

To be clinically responsible for a designated caseload of patients/clients and to organise this effectively and efficiently with regard to clinical priorities and use of time.

To undertake a comprehensive assessment of women's health patients/clients with antenatal and/or postnatal musculoskeletal conditions and patients with gynaecological or urological problems using a range of recognised and specialised clinical assessment techniques.

To determine a diagnosis and prognosis through the application of clinical reasoning skills and specialist knowledge of physiological and pathological processes and syndromes, with neuromusculoskeletal/orthopaedic conditions related to pregnancy and/or women's health problems related to pelvic floor muscle dysfunction and/or other urological or gynaecological conditions.

To be able to recognise when a patient may need onward referral to an orthopaedic specialist, obstetrician, gynaecologist, or urologist due to the severity/prognosis of their presenting problem.

To formulate/develop and undertake an evidence-based plan taking into account the management options available.

Person Specification

Qualifications

• Current relevant professional registration (HCPC Registration)
• Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy

Experience

• Post graduate experience working as a pelvic health specialist
