Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Band 5 Physiotherapist to join our Multi-Disciplinary Team at Honeypot Lane Health and Social Care Centre to assist Specialist Physiotherapist in supervising, providing planned advice, teaching, support, and instruction to therapy assistants, key workers, relatives and carers, to promote understanding of the aims of therapy intervention and to ensure a co-ordinated approach to patient care.
Main duties of the job
- To assist Specialist Physiotherapist in supervising, providing planned advice, teaching, support and instruction to therapy assistants, key workers, relatives and carers, to promote understanding of the aims of therapy intervention and to ensure a co-ordinated approach to patient care.
- To delegate to, teach and supervise the work of Therapy Assistants and Technical Instructors with guidance from senior staff.
- To work with other health care professionals on joint assessments, patient goals and treatment programmes in a patient centred approach.
- To undertake comprehensive assessment independently, plan and formulate an individual management and/or treatment programme, using clinical reasoning methods incorporating skills to implement therapeutic intervention.

Essential
- Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy
- Current AHP with UK HCPC registration
Experience

- Relevant work experience in a variety of clinical placements.
- Evidence of up-to-date CPD
- Experience of working as part of an MDT
- Use of functional assessment and activity analysis
Desirable
- Evidence of previous employment as an Occupational therapist, apprentice, assistant
- Experience of delegation to support staff

- Knowledge of current best practice in PT, demonstrate clinical reasoning, applying theory to practice.
- Ability to work single-handedly with individuals and groups.
